Nurture And Encourage Others To Grow (Part 2)

Posted on Updated on

WELCOME BACK. The scripture says “So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not only the gospel of God but also our own soul, because ye were very dear unto us” (1 Thessalonians 2:8). I want to emphasize that to encourage someone to grow in their business, relationships and career, you are stretching them without overwhelming or discouragement. When you encourage them to grow, God will lift you higher beyond your lest resistance. There is a popular saying that whatever you make happen for others God will make happen for you. That encourages me to know the fact that encouraging others to grow is to tap into their abilities. One of the undeniable reasons why people have difficult time seeing the obvious in life is because they misunderstand the nature of a God-given abilities. A God-given abilities is about others, it’s not about you. It was given to you to benefit others, and that’s why others can identify your calling in life while you are testing about aimlessly in search of it. If you are seeking your ability in life merely to feel better about yourself, you might have a hard time defining it. If you are seeking your ability to encourage others because you want to live a nicer life, you might search forever without satisfaction.

In our previous lesson I said, “When you develop others by way of nurturing and encouraging them to succeed you grow, you not only bring joy and happiness to them and yourself, but you also increase your influence and their ability to touch other people’s lives. Wow! That’s wonderful. Calvin Coolidge said: “No person was ever honoured for what he received. Honour has been the reward for what he gave “. You see, you are blessed to be a blessing, because love is a giving thing. Success is not as much about being driven as it is about being given. When you are doing what you genuinely love, you will be compelled to give yourself to that ability without reservation and your ability will, in turn, enrich others. You are on earth to bring glory to God by nurturing and encouraging others to grow. It is not about you. It’s about others. Why? Because your genuine abilities always produces fruit and fruit is never intended for the tree that bears it. Fruit always exists to benefit those who wander beneath its branches. Those who pursued their abilities with selfish motives only have a limited impact and a limited existence, but ability that are pursued because they benefit others are ability that are limitless in their capacity. Remember, everything great in life begins small, but it becomes great if it is genuine. Your genuineness in caring others will produce positive result, because the more you invest in caring others, the more you will do that which is necessary in life.
