Refuse To Be Discouraged By Failure

Posted on

WELCOME BACK. The scripture says “For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity”. I want you to understand the fact that failure is an importance part of your growth in life and destiny. Failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough. The mediocre of this life are often afraid of failure and rejection that they spend their whole lives avoiding risks that could lead to failure. They don’t realize that success is based on their capacity to fail and continue trying. Failure can be a springboard to success. The highfliers don’t let failure go to their heads, instead of dwelling on the negative consequence of failure, thinking of what might have been and how things haven’t worked out, they focus on the rewards of success learning from their mistakes and thinking about how they can improve themselves and their situations. You can’t let your failures define you. You have to let your failures teach you. The scripture above says “for the righteous falls seven times and rises again”. Failure is an event and not final. It becomes only final when you remain there and refuse to rise. That you failed is an event, not you that fail. There is nothing wrong with failing, but it is a sin to be a failure. If you fail, rise on your feet and challenge the situation. Get to a point in your life where you say ‘no’ to failure. Don’t fold your hands and watch things going wrong in your life. Life is a battle field. Greatness is not for the gentle. Life is for the serious minded concentrated thinkers. Don’t fold your hands and expect change, you have a responsibility to effect the change you desire. You don’t wait for change, you make change happen. Failure must be defeated in your life.

Eleanor Roosevelt said “No man is defeated without until he has first been defeated within”. Your mind is also a battle ground. Your mind affect your feelings. You will feel the way you think and it is impossible to remain discouraged unless you think discouraging thoughts. Likewise, your success or failure in life begins in your minds and is influenced by what you allow yourself to dwell on. We are told to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. You see, life is to be lived, not controlled; and humanity is won by continuing to play in the face of certain defeat, that you are defeated today does not mean you are a failure. Winston Churchill said “success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm”. Failure is success if we learn from it. Without failure there is no achievement. Refuse to be discouraged by failure. Refuse to make unnecessary excuses for not making progress. Refuse to rationalize or complain for your lack of success. Refuse to justify the reasons for your problems and obstacles. Instead, accept total responsibility for achieving your life plans and goals. Become totally self-reliant. I discovered in life that when you accept complete responsibility for your goal, people will emerge to help you and guide you along the path to your success. But when you make excuses, blame others, and expect them to help you, they will ignore you and avoid you. When you look to yourself first, you are far more likely not only to be more successful, but to attracts into your life the support of the people you need. If you look to other people to help you achieve your goals, you will almost always be disappointed and fail woefully. Remember, failure is not your final answer, and it should not be. But, a stepping stone for your breakthrough and success in life and ministry.
