WELCOME BACK. The scripture says “Wise thinking leads to right living; Stupid thinking leads to wrong living”. In our today’s article I want to emphasize that those who think differently don’t think failure and lack. They are world changer. Their thought make a difference in their lives. Their thoughts determines their destiny and the legacy they brought to the world. They get where they are in life, invariably because they talk and do more about their goals and dreams. Something that has been a motivating factor throughout their life to become what they have finally become. They think differently. If you don’t have a dream, a goal and a purpose in life, you are not going to become what you will become. Every successful man and woman are people of positive attitude, they look for a secret. The secret is you, your thinking and your capacity to do extraordinary things. During my studying, I found out that there are great difference between those who think differently and those who think indifferently. Those who think differently are motivated by a dream beyond them. They have a dream that is bigger than themselves, they have something that constantly keeps them going. Their dream and goals are out of their reach, yet they believe that if they work hard enough, they will someday hold that dream in their hands. But those who think indifferently, think immediate gratification. They are motivated by what they can have today. They are not tomorrow thinkers. They are not looking beyond themselves, they don’t even considered what tomorrow may present them. They only reach out for things they could tangibly put their hands on and they go for the convenient. They talk much but do little. They may devised a wild plans and ideas, but they never see them happening, why? Because they lack discipline and tenacity. But those who think differently talks little but does much. You may not hear all about their dream, but if you watch, you will see it manifest in their lives. This kind of people are driven by their dreams and visions.
Helen Keller was once asked in an interview conducted by press men. What would be worse than being born blind? She quickly replied, “To have sight and no vision”. In her word, she further said “What I am looking for is not out there, it is in me”. Wow! That was a profound word from an incapacitated woman who has no capacity to see physically but blindly! Helen Keller’s dilemma was an undeniable truth that vision has value to those who think differently. This attitude alone encourages great thinkers to think differently. They gave up at any moment all that they are in order to receive all that they could become. Once you have a glimpse of what God can make of you, you will never be satisfied where you are. You will be willing to let go of whatever might keep you from actually realizing that vision. No wonder they pay their price now and enjoy later. But those who think indifferently pay their price later and enjoy now. I am constantly amazed at their short sightedness when they are not willing to pay their price now. They are not willing to give up those pleasurable things that are destroying them today. They can’t give up any of today’s luxuries in exchange for tomorrow financial security. They are so caught up in the pleasures of today that they cannot see the pain of tomorrow. They are not willing to totally sell out for God. They are trying to avoid the price, but the price will always be there. Those who think differently understood this concept and abide to the rules that regulate and govern their lives without violating what makes them different. This attitude genuinely attracted them to enjoy life to the fullness. They think and act differently. Their priorities are different. Their standards are different. This is why they rise above the fray. This is why they transcend mediocrity. They feel differently about things. They look at things from a different perspective. They live their lives forward instead of backward. They seek to give instead of getting. They are out-front instead of lagging behind. If you want to accomplish great things in life despite the challenges of your life, dream a dream that is bigger than you are, find something you can lose your life in. Jesus said if you keep your life you will lose it, and if you lose your life you will keep it. Think of great men and women who continually pursue their dreams into old age. Think of people like Moses in the Holy Bible who at 80 years of age led 3 ½ million people out of captivity and Caleb, who at 85 years of age said, “Give me that mountain”. Think of people like John Wesley, who was still travelling on horseback and preaching at age 88. They are all thinkers and they think differently that their fame went out all over the world. Remember, great thinkers achieved great things because they think differently from others.
