Discipline Your Thinking

Posted on

WELCOME BACK. The scripture says: “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid”. This is a great word from the wisest man who ever lived, King Solomon. It’s wisdom to discipline your thinking, because it remind you how important it is to discipline your belief system with great thoughts for you never go any higher than you think. To discipline your thinking is to love knowledge and understanding that breed success which is the sum total of all your choices and decisions in life. Knowledge empowers you to make choices. The choice is yours whether your thoughts will be constructive or destructive and will determine the ultimate result of your life. Your life can begin to turn around when you realized your choices and decisions put you in your current situation, and therefore, your choices and decisions can turn things around 360 degree. The biggest challenge for most people is their unwillingness to realistically confront their future. They believe that their future lives will be discipline by the government or economic factor. But they don’t believe or think that their future will be disciplined by their own choice and behavior. You see, your future is disciplined by you and you alone, regardless of the shifting winds of change that are blowing all around you or what any other entity is doing. In fact, no human being can change the direction of his life until he first change the way he thinks about himself. You must change or be swept away in a tidal wave of change. Undisciplined mindset is no doubt, the primary hindrance to greatness. But the man who recognize the way, his mindset shapes him and he can bring his own mind under discipline to proper thinking, it is the man who can do almost anything effortlessly.

Krystal Kuehn, in one of her book titled: 21 Power Habits for a Winning Life. She said, “The more I disciplined myself to take notice of the good things in life, the more I began to recognize just how much there is to be thankful for”. When you disciplined your mind it leads to happiness, and when you undisciplined your mind it leads to pains and sufferings. Taking a look at the life of King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, who ruled the ancient nation of Israel about 3,000 years ago. A thinker as well as a leader. He said in his book of Proverbs. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning, and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. King Solomon knew that mental capacity was a process, not automatic. He knew that today’s efforts in gathering wisdom and knowledge will bring tomorrow’s success. That’s why it is necessary to discipline your thinking because wisdom is the foundation under our feet, an immovable rock upon which dreamers can stand in order to reach for the great aspirations in their heart. If you want your tomorrow to look different, discipline your thinking today and do something meaningful about your life. This is because, a disciplinary mindset is a reinvented mindset with a great thoughts to become big. But most importantly, no matter how much you hope for better things and no matter how often you think positive thoughts, you are going to remain unhappy, unfulfilled until you decide to get the information you need and take the action that’s necessary to change the downward spiral of your life. This is vital. Because, action speak louder than voice as they popularly say. So, your action is the key to personal greatness, accomplishment, and excitement. Remember, those who act according to their heart achieve extraordinary success simply because they think great thought and great thought is the reason for their great achievement.
