WELCOME BACK. The scripture says: “My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.” This is to recognized and acknowledged the fact that temporary failure always pave the way for success. The ability to turn your failure into success is a major difference between the great achievers and the unsuccessful people. Those who are successful always work and engaged on tasks of high value, while the unsuccessful always with the attitude of time waster on task of low value. I discovered that the greatest tragedy in life is the power of choice. Your choice ultimately determines everything that happens to you good or bad. Your choice is the reason why you are where you are now. You see, if you want to continue on the road to success, you must learn how to turn your failure into success, because failure is an inevitable occurrence. Failure gives you the capacity to build character. Failure is a huge learning experience. Most of us have been conditioned to look only at the end result of any person’s long success, but forgotten about the many races and events he has lost over the years, the adjustments and learning he has sustained along the way.
The unsuccessful men and women are often afraid of failure that they spend their whole lives avoiding risks that could lead to failure. They don’t realized that success is based on their ability to fail and continue trying. Failure can be a springboard to success. The successful people don’t let failure go to their heads, instead of dwelling on the negative consequence of failure, thinking of what might have been and how things haven’t worked out, they focus on the rewards of success learning from their mistakes and thinking about how they can turn their temporary failure to success. I learnt in my years of studying that the person who is interested in success has to learn to view failure as a healthy, inevitable part of the process of getting to the top. See failure as a temporary defeat of a part of the price that you pay on your journey to success. God said through His word “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.” Furthermore, He said, “The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down” . That is incredible! A word of truth. The successful men and women keep moving forward despite all odds befalling them. They make mistakes along the way, but they don’t quit. Their failure has value, it strengthen them. Each time they experience failure, it remind them that they are closer to their potential.
Let me use this opportunity to tell you the story of Tom Watson, Sr., who founded IBM, had a top junior executive who spent $12 million of the company’s money on an experiment that failed. The executive put his resignation on Watson’s desk, saying, I am sure that you want my resignation” Watson said, “No, I don’t want your resignation. I have just spent $12 million, educating you, it is about time you get to work.” Watson knew that there is such a thing as successful failure. He turned failure to success. Failure can either slough you down or help you along on the way to the top of your chosen field. There is no way you can walk on the road to success without experiencing failure. We have experienced that countless time. All you need do is to train yourself to think of failure as mileage markers. Each time you fail, know that you have traveled another mile farther on the road to your potential. Remember, it’s only through turning failure to success that you can achieved success.
