Don’t Listen To The Voice Of Fear And Timidity

Posted on

WELCOME BACK. The scripture says: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear and timidity are limitations and illusions of the mind. Fear and timidity does not come from God. They are enemies to a successful life. They prevents us from attaining to the level in which we dreamed of becoming. They are also theft of time that brought about backwardness and mediocrity. Don’t listen to the voice of fear and timidity, no one ever achieved a remarkable goals who listened to the voice of fear and timidity. Dr. Mike Murdock said that broken focus is the primary reason why people fail in life and business. If you lack focus, you will lack enthusiasm and without enthusiasm, you will not amount too much in life. The great achievers today attempt impossible dreams and they achieve them in spite of the fear and timidity they feel. They feel fear but still do what they need to do to succeed. One of the things fear and timidity does in our lives is, it make us see only the negatives in a given situations and not the positive. The interesting thing about the voice of fear and timidity is that, they are self imposed limitations which we build on our path against ourselves. But the good news is that we can eliminate them from our lives and accelerate at a high frequency of accomplishment and excitement.

An average person is afraid of failing and never start anything significance but keep putting them off. He is so scared of stepping out on his dream. No one really tells him that it is because of fear and timidity that made him to drag his feet, because that may make him look bad. But in reality, it’s fear and timidity that paralysed and suspend his dream indefinitely. He gave all kinds of excuses but it is really fear of starting that makes him delay his destiny. You see, negative fear is a negative emotion based on the real expectation of bad things to come. It’s rooted in anxiety and a lack of trust in God’s fatherly protection and love. The scripture says there is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear because fear had torment. Here, we saw Apostle Peter further said, He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Therefore, by seeking God, God presence and His fullness of His Spirit will set you free from fear and timidity. When you are conscious of God’s power, it’s very easy to be courageous and bold, instead of fear and timidity. You also expect success when you are consciously full of God and know that you are doing what God is telling you to do. Remember, to overcome the voice of fear and timidity, you must look to God and not to natural considerations which could cause your failure if God were not with you.
