Your Attitude Towards Life (Part 1)

Posted on Updated on

WELCOME BACK. Roy Bennett once said “Change your attitude and you change your life, you cannot control what happens to you in your life, but you can always control how you respond to it. The way you choose to respond is a reflection of your attitude by changing your attitude, you also change your perspective and change your life.” I have come to recognize the fact that attitude is one of the undeniable prerequisites for genuine success and its biblical principles are unfading facts. Life is like a ladder. The higher you climb in life the higher your responsibilities increases and the more your options decreases. On the ladder of success, there is not much room at the top to move around, because the increase in authority has been offset by the increase in visibility and accountability. By the time you get to the top of your ladder, more people are able to see you. They are watching you a lot more closely than they used to because you are easier to see. That’s why it is important to develop your attitude towards life as you ascend the ladder of success. Your attitude should be more highly sought than your talent, why? Because far too often, those with talent looks disappointing after life eventually uncovers their lack of attitude.

The truth of the matter is that attitude is key to genuine success. Your attitude towards life is developed when you learned responsibility and accountability through the growth process of life. It’s also shaped by challenges of life. You see, life always seems somewhat out of purposeless, and full of misery, as if something just doesn’t quite fit. Most people are generally dissatisfied and discontented with life, but don’t really know why. The reason God allows most things go wrong in our life is so we can see clearly what’s inside of us and learn how to deal with it. He permits the storm of life to toss us around so we can see the gap that exist between the way he pictures us and the way we are actually walking out of the picture. I am quite convinced that the problematic nature of our life is designed to expose the true nature of our attitude. William James said: The greatest discovering of his generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude”. He further stated that when a person get a promotion, 85% of the time is because of his attitude and only 15% of the time because of his intelligence and knowledge of specific facts and figures. The foundation of success, regardless of your chosen field is attitude. When I discovered this principle it changed my life. This series will guide in providing you with insights and revelations into who and what you were meant to be in life. Remember, good attitude attracts greatness and greatness is key to genuine success.
