Develop A Focus Mentality

Posted on

WELCOME BACK. Dr. Mike Murdock once said “Broken focus is the primary reason why people fail in life and business.” Developing a focus mentality is one of the prerequisite for success and progress in life. If you study the lives of successful people, you will soon learn that every great achievers has a focus mentality. Focus equals direction and direction equals power which is one of the the attributes that one has in hand to effectively achieve a dreams and goals. Most people are not focused particularly in their approach to the future. They live totally frantic and scattered lives, they feel like they are expending great amounts of energy while never striking a real target. Those who succeeded make up their minds to pursue a course of action and they do all within their virtue power to stay focused in their areas of interest until it is achieved. They have focus mentality and they are virtually unstoppable. The power of nature and the realities of time may slow them down, but in the end, they will prevail because they are not relenting in pursue of their destiny because they desire to be great and bring their lives into order.

What does it mean to develop a focus mentality? It means the capacity to focus on one primary and overriding objective without the blight of distraction. It’s also the capacity to do great things and rise above the fray. You see, you can never be correct without first focusing on God and His principles. He has given us twenty-four hours each day, and He has given us a certain number of years upon this earth. If you want to extract the highest quality from the time you have, you are going to have to learn to focus on one primary objective that’s essential to you. One most important things in life is that life may not permit you to do everything on earth. You can do anything in life, but you cannot do everything. You can achieve anything and build anything you put your mind to do, but the harsh realities of life may not allow you to do them all. That’s why if you want to be great, you must focus your limited time and resources upon that sole passion that deserve your time and your life. Remember, the scripture says… for those who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. Why? Because he is a double-minded man or woman, who is unstable in all his ways.

I really need to learn focus mentality. I tend to start too many projects at once and get overwhelmed. Maybe I will start the new year out using the advice from this blog post. Thank you for this!

What a great piece. As I read, I reflected back to the days when I wasn’t as focused as I am now. As time has passed, I’ve fallen in love with what I am doing because I directed myself to concentrate on the best of what I was passionate about and it’s become easier to focus because I love it so much. I believe that God has had a large part in helping me to sink into what feels best and right for me.
