Courage: The Power To Do It

Posted on

WELCOME BACK. David McCullough once said: “The first of all qualities of a general is courage”  Courage makes you go through when others have given up. Courage makes you put your foot in where others could not attempt. Courage makes you take a stand when it would have been easier to sit on the fence. It makes you turn failure into enthusiasm in the hope that something good will come. Without courage, you will not be able to consistently stay in the direction of your dreams. What does courage mean? It means the ability to control fear when facing danger or pain. When you develop courage you empower yourself with the ability to confront problems head on as well as acquire the skills required to deal with life’s inevitable challenges. Our every day living requires courage if life is to be effective and to bring happiness. Courage is the ladder on which you must climb if you must reach the levels you have to reach in life and destiny.

Courage enable you to do the hard things in life despite the challenges you face in your daily routines. Courage is one of the basic ingredients for success. It’s the capability to get back up when you have been knocked down, or the aptitude to take decisive action when everything seems not perfect. Let me use this opportunity to tell you this but, hard truth that the world will not pay you for what you know but for what you DO. The world will not reward you for your imagination, but your action and achievement. Too many people spend their whole lives aiming, and they never pull their trigger. They want to get everything perfect before they fire the gun. Unfortunately, things will never be perfect and the great achievers of this world know this. They know that you have to shoot first and then adjust your aim accordingly. Let us learn from Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald. He said there are three key to successful living. The first is being in the right place at the right time. The second is knowing that you are there. The third is taking action in the situation. Remember, the ability to overcome the fear of failure is one of the undeniable marks of greatness. So be courageous.
