Silent The Critics

Posted on

WELCOME BACK.  Zig Ziglar once said: Don’t be distracted by criticism. Remember, the only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite out of you”.  You see, that is the most reason why it is much valuable to look for the strength in others people’s life, than to criticize their inabilities. To silent the critics is to avoid distractions of life. Criticism is the theft of time. It’s the idea of condeming ones action on the basis of perceived faults or mistake. It is the act of judging unfavorably or faultfinding. In fact, a true friend will speak the truth even when it’s hard to hear. Who do you spend time with, criticizers or encouragers? Surround yourself with those who believe in you. Your life is too important for anything less. Have a healthy self-esteem to manage criticism. You must be able to handle the hurt while looking for the wisdom in what was said, or else you will be distracted. It’s just the part of the game anyway, because no matter what you do there must be criticism. They are all around you. Those who criticize your life are usually the same people that don’t know the price you paid to get where you are now!

When you are in a leadership position it attract people to see your weaknesses because every aspect of your life is important to them. Dale Carnegie said: “Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving”. When you are criticized, it is usually common to react in a negative manner. Consider how negative reactions make you look and more importantly how they make you feel. The way in which you choose to handle criticism has a knock-on effect in various aspects of your life, therefore it is better to identify ways in which you can benefit from criticism and use it to your advantage to be a stronger and more able person. To silent the critics say nothing, and do nothing. The scripture says. Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few.
