Vision: Your Eternal Motivation

One of the dynamic principle of fulfilling your destiny is vision. Vision is the greatest gift given to humanity. It’s the function of the heart. Vision makes suffering and challenges bearable. It generate expectation in the mind of those who are despair and it provides endurance in tribulation. Vision encourages the depressed and motivates the discouraged. Without vision life would be a study in cyclic frustration within a whirlwind of despair. Vision is the foundation of courage and the fuel of persistence.  Gail Devers said “I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom – how great is that?” Without vision life has no sense of direction and is valueless. Vision is the juice of life. It’s the prerequisite for passion and the source of persistence.

The wisest king who ever lived, king Solomon, stated in the holy bible “where there is no vision, the people perish”. These words have been quoted and repeatedly mentioned severally over the years because they captured the important role vision has in our lives. The meaning of that is, where there is no revelation of the future, people throw off self control and restraint. Late Myles Munroe one of the Inspirational Speaker and Pastor once said in his quote “There are many who have no vision for their lives and wonder how to obtain one. There are others who have a vision, but are stuck in the mind of confusion not knowing what to do next. Then, there are those who had a vision but have abandoned it because of discouragement dissillusion and frustration.

You were born to achieve success in any of your endeavour in life and to make a difference in your generation. Your life is a project of divine ability to fulfill your God given mandate to your generation. This mandate is the source of your vision and goals which gives meaning to your life. I therefore encourage you to believe in your vision and reconnect with your goals. Your vision await your action. Your future is not ahead of you, your future lies within you, see beyond your physical eyes and live for the unsee. Life is beyond what you see. Sight is the function of your eyes and vision is the function of your heart. Vision sees the future. Sight sees the immediate. Joel A. Barker once said “Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world”. Your destiny requires eternal motivation. That eternal motivation is your vision.
