You Can’t Rise Beyond The Level Of Your Thoughts

Let me use this opportunity to share a story with you that I believe will help you to grow from strength to strength and from glory to glory.

Mike Tyson, former world heavy weight boxing champion was broke and filled for bankruptcy in 2003. This was inspite of the fact that he became a world champion at the age of 20 and earned a whopping $470 million. Why should he be broke after earning such an amount of money?

In our part of the world, we would attribute it to the diabolical work of witches and wizard. However, a close look will reveal that Tyson’s undoing was his mindset.

Tyson grew up in the slums of Brooklyn, New York. The slum has its own culture (prevailing way of thinking). Unfortunately, when he began to earn millions of dollars, his old way of thinking remained with him. He did not invest his money or his mind, instead of being an asset he become a liability.

Tyson’s story hold a big lesson for you. You cannot rise beyond the level of your thoughts. Given the fact that poverty and wrong thinking have become part of our culture, you must find a way to escape this mental trap.

The value you place on yourself will affect your behaviour, it will affect your confession and how you treat yourself. Remember, favourable changes begin with a change of positive mindset and what you can tolerate you cannot change.

Benjamin Disraeli said, “Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you never go any higher than you think” The choice is yours whether your thoughts will be constructive or destructive and will determine the ultimate result of your life.

Dr. Bill Newman said, “If you want to be successful you must think until it hurts”. He further said, “Your mind is like a muscle. It must be exercised to grow”

You will succeed!
